St. Louis railway surgeon and medical educator. Warren Bell Outten, MD (1844-1911) was born in Lexington, Kentucky, was educated at Christian Brother's College, before he received his medical degree from the St. Louis Medical College in 1866. He began his practice of medicine as acting assistant surgeon in military service at St. Louis (ending December 1866), attending troops suffering from cholera.
